The German Kneipp Company founder, Sebastian Kneipp was known as the “Water Doctor” in Europe. He was a pioneer in the exploration of Hydrotherapy and holistic healing 130 years ago. People traveled from great distances to experience his healing methods. Believing that Nature provides everything humans need, he went off looking for restorative plants such as Arnica, Valerian, Lavender and mineral-rich salts. Finding such salts in Göttingen, Germany, he used them to heal, and these same plants are currently used in the Kneipp products sold today. Kneipp believed in “order” also called mindfulness, and his insights into the healing power of nature and the interplay of the five pillars- water, plants, exercise, nutrition and balance are still the foundation of the Kneipp brand today. His studies in this field began when he fell ill with tuberculosis. He looked into many different methods to heal this disease and succeeded with cold water infusion from the Danube River, which started his interest in the natural healing process. He continued helping others getting an average of 150 patients per day, when the word spread of his methods and ability to cure severe diseases. He did all that for free.
At Classic Massage Intervention we believe in not only providing the best products, but using products of companies, whose values align with ours.
